Kansas City Folk Festival (AKA KC Folk Fest) is a free, all-day city festival that celebrates the music and arts of our neighborhoods, region and beyond. With song, poetry, dance, storytelling, local art, demos, workshops, food trucks, craft market and more, our folk fest has a little something for everyone.
Initially an event hosted and organized by Folk Alliance International, KC Folk Fest is now an independent, locally-led nonprofit incorporated in January 2022. This is our 2nd year hosting the festival as a grassroots organization.
