Hearts on Parade in Lenexa

This spring, Lenexa is thrumming with the beat of some giant hearts. Brightly colored 5-foot-by-5-foot fiberglass hearts have popped up in several spots around town. They are part of the Parade of Hearts, a public art experience and philanthropic project that is setting an example of unification to strengthen our communities.

In total, area artists and businesses designed 154 original artworks based around the historical and iconic KC Heart. The hearts are on display across the Kansas City metro through May. Lenexa is hosting hearts at the following locations:
- Lenexa civic campus (outside Lenexa Public Market), 17101 W. 87th St. Pkwy.
- Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park (near Legler Barn Museum), 87th Street Parkway and Lackman Road
- Rally House, 9750 Quivira Rd.
The hearts will be auctioned in June, and funds raised will support local causes including education, arts and, small minority-owned and women-owned businesses, health and wellness, and hospitality and tourism. Learn more

A free Parade of Hearts mobile app is available. It includes a GPS-enabled map so you can plan your very own heart-stopping tour.
