Make Music Day at Merriam Community Center Courtyard

Join the worldwide celebration of music on June 21! Merriam is joining Make Music Kansas City in 2023. Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.

Enjoy a live painting performance by Coloratura which immerses the audience in a multi-sensory celebration of art and music and music performed by the Kansas City Symphony via their Mobile Music Box. We’ll end the night with a performance by Chill Phil who will have you feeling like you are on a tropical vacation.
