Join Dan Viets, Walt Disney Historian for an in-depth presentation featuring a brand new, never-before-seen documentary titled The Cradle of Animation.

The event includes a 60-minute lecture, 15-minute documentary, followed by a Q&A. Dan’s presentation will focus on Walt’s time in Kansas City including his experiences growing up including the pet mouse which he kept in his studio and later inspired the creation of Mickey. Guests will learn about his amazing career in film and theme park design as well as the founding of Walt’s first professional film studio, where young artists honed their craft and went on to become founders of almost the entire Hollywood animation industry. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
